Dr Iqbal Hussain

Dr Iqbal Hussain is an experienced General Practitioner with special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine, general Dermatology and Cosmetic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and holds an Australian Diploma of Dermatology and the PG Diploma of Dermatology from Cardiff in the United Kingdom.
He has a wealth of experience in Australia having worked at a Skin Cancer clinic in Rockhampton for over ten years, and as a GP VMO Dermatology at Rockhampton Hospital for over seven years. He was also actively involved in teaching the next generation of doctors through the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School Medicine Program.
Dr Hussain firmly believes in the use of regular, detailed, meticulous skin checks to prevent Skin Cancers and can perform surgical and non-surgical treatments should any be detected.
He can also assess your individual needs for Cosmetic procedures and can personalise the right cosmetic treatments to achieve the best possible outcome for you – while keeping your wellbeing and safety paramount.
Outside of work, Iqbal loves listening to music, travelling and spending time with his family.

Dr Raj Selvarajan is an experienced General Practitioner and principal surgeon at Scalpel Free Vasectomy Services.
Dr Raj undertook post-graduate education in the United Kingdom and he is trained in specialised surgical fields including Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Member of both the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Specialising in ‘No Scalpel Vasectomies’ both in the UK and in Australia, Dr Selvarajan has performed over 4000 no-scalpel vasectomies and established no-scalpel vasectomy services in the North East of England initially, and then later in Tamworth, Midlands and Leicester City in the UK.
His interests also extend to Skin Cancer management, cosmetic skin lesion removal and scarless mole removal. As part of his professional development he is undertaking Masters of Medicine (Skin Cancer) with the University of Queensland.
Outside of work Dr Raj enjoys fishing and spending time with his family including his 2 young boys.

Dr Deepa graduated in 2007 from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, India, and then worked in the challenging Primary Care Facilities in rural and remote India, before moving to Australia in 2010 where she gained further work experience in wide range of settings.
She underwent specialist training in General Practice under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners pathway program and successfully completed her Australian Medical Council examination and her fellowship examination by Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
As a vocationally trained FRACGP doctor, she is committed to keeping her skills up to date by undertaking advanced courses, training, and workshops.
Before moving to Brisbane, she worked in General Practice in Sarina, near Mackay for 3 years. During this period, she developed a special interest in Women’s Sexual & Reproductive Health and can offer Burpengary East Medical Centre patients a range of family planning options – including Mirena and Implanon Insertion.
She is especially good with children and has a keen interest in Child & Adolescent Health as well as other aspects of General Practice, such as management of mental health conditions, management of chronic conditions including Diabetes, Hypertension, Kidney impairment and Asthma.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and enjoys fishing, listening to music and craftwork.
